A season that seems to bring promise and (fill in the blank)

Perhaps memories? To the more simple days, When we were very young (1924)

A summer song, one that might go well with this blog, TOMBOY (2019) - Hyukoh

It seems that I've skipped a few seasons before being able to get back to the blog, and as always, the excuse is that I’ve had a lot going on.

Too busy to sit down and make new galleries and blogs, but never too busy to go shooting.

So, what has your summer looked like?

Here’s a glimpse of what my summer looked like, although these pictures are helplessly limited in describing all that’s happened this summer,

Let's Time Travel.

My summer has been filled with green and fresh air.

Full of nature, what more can you ask for in a summer?

Hikes, trials, waterfalls, flowers and these plants you definitely saw in Jurassic Park.

>roar<

Days like these are what refreshes us to keeping going, so take time to slow down and appreciate the small things.

And what is a summer adventure without any pictures from our very own jungle.

Surprisingly, I spent a lot more time in the woods and with nature than I did in the city this summer.

But trust me, I didn't miss out on a lot

So for this blog, the featured pictures are from one day in the city.

All of these shots were taken with, surprise, film.

And by film, I mean analog rolls of film (duh?) not the film=cinematography kind, >:(

The only camera I took with me this day was an old 1982, so all of the pictures from this day were taken with classic film.

The pictures are not the highest quality that you’ve seen here and they shouldn’t be. Because that’s not the reason why we shoot film, is it?

Don’t know it? Learn it, love it, live it.

I’ve been working on it for some time now, and still am working on a few galleries featuring 35mm film photography.

The gallery that will be ready first is called 35:36

I honestly love it, all of it. The colors, the light, the grain, the grittiness and the nostalgia, all of it.

Now, I'd love to flaunt what I have ready for 35:36 but it's just not time yet, so you'll have to wait a bit longer to see what they hold. At least you got a taste of what it will be like.

And now to end this blog, how about some night skies?

Somethings just can't be left out in a summer night.

"Lift up your eyes to heaven and see.

Who has created these things?" - Isaiah 40:26

Words and pictures can never live up to seeing the world with your own eyes. Our efforts to replicate what our eyes see are hopeless when placed in front of the humbling and truly awe-inspiring creations of God.

Maybe that's why I love star gazing so much, to just sit under the sky, as the heavens tower above. Doesn't it make you think about how far we are from the stars and how small we are compared to the rest of the universe?

Do I have you excited yet? :)

This wraps up our trip for this summer, but summer never ends in our hearts.

To make up for all the time that I've been away, I've been working on several new projects.

The first will be a new gallery called~~~~~~ well, you'll find out soon.

It's a separate gallery for stars and night skies, since many of you have expressed your love for the endless stars ~

Until next time

-J
